What: Maia goes looking for food, and discovers a necklace

Maia wandered toward the third house. It was weird to have so little food. The tea and cookies from Danielle's tea party were a faint memory now. Her stomach rumbled uncomfortably, and she paused to briefly touch her middle. There had to be more somewhere right? What about what those strange things were saying? She didn't like those strange moments of being in the dark and unable to move. It reminded her too much of the tests and feeling trapped. Contained. She hated it.
Her steps lead her into the third house,and a very fancy kitchen. Maybe there was something here? She tread carefully through the room. It felt like she didn't belong here, and worse, no food. Still the glint of metal caught her eye, and she came across an interesting necklace with unusual symbols. Maia picked it up, and turned the pendant around. Her finger slid over the smooth surface curiously. What was it? Also why was it here?
